Research Grant

Eligibility:

MBBS, FCPS, MRCP, or equivalent, who are pursuing a career or are getting trained in Endocrinology (applicant should be a PES member) .

Endocrinologists who are PES members.

Supervisor – For trainees; the supervisor should be a PES executive member

Topic – Related to Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism. The study should be conducted in Pakistan

Grant Application – Applicant must provide the actual budget. For longer duration of study – budget for each year should be separately given and the grant money will be released according to each year’s budget

Approval by the ERBs – Grants can be applied and processed pending ethical approval, but for release of the grant, ERB approval will be mandatory.

Report – For longer duration of grants – 6 monthly reports need to be submitted to PES

Grant application cycle – twice per year. deadlines 31st March and 30th September

Number of Grants – two per application cycle, comprising of Rs 500K each for each cycle

PES Elective Grant:

Will only be offered to Endocrinology fellow-in-training based in Pakistan who either has to present his/her research in a conference or is going for an elective rotation in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism.

There will be two elective grants per year comprising of Rs 150K each.

The applicant should have an acceptance letter from the institute where he/she is going for electives. The elective grant application should be countersigned and approved by his/her supervisor.

The applicant has to submit a summary of his/her elective rotation/conference attendance to PES.
